Wow, can't believe its been over 2 years since I was in here. A lot has happened but the most significant is that I am down 66 lbs with a total weight loss goal of 100lbs gone. I really, truly, didn't start this weight loss journey until Feb of this year. I kept saying "I want to lose weight", "I'm tired of being fat", etc. but didn't do anything about it but complain.
The real eye opening moment was when I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with something called Gilbert's syndrome. It a genetic liver disorder that, without proper diet, exercise, sleep, eye., can be a burden on my health. It really hit me when I read the doctors notes and he started off by saying, "...this pleasant, OBESE, 34 year old women....." Oh lord, there it was, in print OBESE! I mean, it was no secret I was big but that word "obese" pierced right through me. Another thing that got me motivated to actually lose weight was from my ex. I can actually thank him for this one. I told him when he left back home for the winter, "I'm going to lose 40 pounds while you're gone". He then said, "no you won't because you like food too much". Well, f%*k you....I've lost 66 pounds now ....and even more if you count him, lol.
Now, while I am proud of what I've done so far....I'm not there yet. With the help of Instagram, Fitbit and MyFitnessPal, I am on the right track. If you are interested in adding me to any of those, here is my info..
